    RESEARCH AREAS

This Master's Program gives strong bases in molecular chemistry and is mainly devoted to research activities in the following fields: Synthesis organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, coordination chemistry, catalysis, materials chemistry, bioorganic chemistry.
However this Master's Program is also widely open to fields at the frontiers of chemistry, with: Mathematics, physics, biology.

    ASSOCIATED LABORATORIES ON CAMPUS

This Master's Program is based on the scientific expertise of the research laboratories located on Ecole Polytechnique Campus. Three laboratories are dedicated to chemistry and are presented just below:

    Heteroelements and Coordination Laboratory (DCPH)
Main research fields: the molecule-transition metal interface / coordination and organometallic compound applications in catalysis / coordination and organometallic compound applications of metal nano-particles in the field of materials.
The laboratory is devoted to both theoretical and applied chemistry.

Chemistry and Organic Synthesis Department Laboratory (DCSO)
Main research fields: new free radical reactions / natural product total synthesis / new catalysed reactions using gold compounds / new reactions using a set of nitrate derivatives and isonitriles for the synthesis of nitrogen heterocyles / new metathesis reactions.

    Reaction Mechanisms Laboratory (DCMR)
    Main research fields:

    MASTER THESIS AND PH. D.

    Examples of interships achieved:
    - Gold catalyzed formation of quinoline derivatives.
    - Synthetic approach to Dolabelide C.
    - Synthesis of alcynyl cyclobutane from isoxazolones.
